I read and participate in the comp.os.linux.misc newsgroup.  Over the
past couple days, there's been an interesting thread about programming
on a serial port.  The information revealed in the discussion is the
kind of thing one might not find in a programming FAQ, and I realized
it's essentially new and interesting information.
Then I had an idea...what if there was a site dedicated to summarizing
information revealed in newsgroups like c.o.l.m?
A couple formats come to mind, a blog and a wiki. In this case, I
actually see a Wordpress blog as being more effective than a wiki; the
information isn't really interrelated.  In either case, search engines
like Google would serve as the source of page hits.
Anybody interested?  I can set up a wiki or a Wordpress blog on
Computer Club's hosting account.  As long as it doesn't get
slashdotted, it should be fine...
