Pentium D's aren't the most power friendly CPUs in the world (to say
the least).  The consumption difference between comparable Pentium D's
and Core 2 Duos can easily total > $100 / year if you leave your
computer on all the time.  Spending a little more up front can
actually save you money in the near-middle term.  :-/
