RE: Now,  the first place I would start off would be the basics.  I would
get A+ certified first,  then you can branch off into what you like.

FYI, the A+ certs current (2003) version of the tests will be retired on
12/31/2006.  The new objectives and tests (2006) will be starting up soon.
