If you're just looking for a small distribution, I've pared standard Debian installs down to ~ 50Mb with a little package removal and cleaning up of things like man pages and documentation. It's a bit harder to do with RedHat (they seem to compile software with more options enabled, and / or flag unnecessary packages as being dependencies). --tim
