I had some issues with the fglrx driver and hardware acceleration when i converted my last windows box (my laptop) a kubuntu
dapper box. I did notice seeing other people who had problems with the driver who also used the rpms' from livna. Perhaps livna's
rpms are bad?

Driver's fglrx 8.24.8 to 8.26.18 all work fine with Xorg 7.0. Perhaps install from different rpm site or build your own?
