[GRLUG] Samba on Kubuntu

Apparently, you need the "inetd" and "swat" packages on Ubuntu.  I
just tried in on Ubuntu 6.06.1 and it worked.  All attempts to get
swat working w/o it failed.  Give it a try:


root at birdofpray:/etc/xinetd.d# apt-get install inetd
...
Note, selecting inetutils-inetd instead of inetd
...
Setting up inetutils-inetd (1.4.3+20051212-3) ...
 * Starting internet superserver inetd                                   [ ok ]

root at birdofpray:/etc/xinetd.d#
godwin at birdofpray:~$ netstat -l | grep swat
tcp6       0      0 *:swat                  *:*                     LISTEN
