yeah, the 4100 was a bad machine compared to the 2010 (I bought the 4100 and
returned it) but the 2010 installed really nicely, and it was just a .deb or
.rpm or a tarball. 2010 was just recognized by gnome in ubuntu 5.10
and 6.06automagically.
