Try kernel options "acpi=off" and "noapic" first to see if those work.
Another one to try is "ide=nodma". You should be able to add
these by interrupting GRUB and hitting "e" on the kernel line then
appending these options. Heck, try all three at once.
You may also have to install the "i386" kernel and glibc instead of
the "i686" if it is not a Pentium Pro, II or higher. That will cause
instant reboots, too. There may be a way to force Fedora to install
the i386 stuff. I'm pretty sure Debian has an easy way to do it.
In fact, the wikipedia has an entry for Librettos. Looks like you
have an original Pentium.

You'll have to replace your kernel and glibc with the i386 versions.
These should be on the CD if you want to try:
rpm -Uvh --force kernel-xxxxxx-i386.rpm glibc-xxxxxx-i386.rpm
If you can get it to boot at all, try sending a copy of "lspci -v" out
to this list.
Lastly, google is your friend.

It appears you will have to modify /etc/X11/xorg.conf and change the
video driver to use "vesa." It's likely that running "Xorg
-configure" will generate a suitable configuration for you if you can
get into runlevel 3. It'll write it to /root/xorg.conf.new (or
something like that), which you can probably just copy into
/etc/X11/xorg.conf. Make sure to keep a backup of the one you have,
though.
Good luck,
