Subject: [GRLUG] Clear the content of a file without deleting it
i know there is a command that will clear the content of a file without
deleting it, but i can not remember what it is
i know i have done this on a log file while on the phone with a Oracle
tech support person
i have very large error_log on this test apache box, and i am trying to
debug whats right with my script
i know tail works to see the last few lines
but it would be nice to know the command that just wipes that log clean,
without deleting it and recreating it
any body know the command i an thinking of?
thanks
