So you're thinking more of something like this: <<a href="http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=105&cp_id=10516&cs_id=1051610&p_id=10341&seq=1&format=2" target="_blank">http://www.monoprice.com/<u></u>products/product.asp?c_id=105&<u></u>cp_id=10516&cs_id=1051610&p_<u></u>id=10341&seq=1&format=2</a>><a href="http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=105&cp_id=10516&cs_id=1051610&p_id=10341&seq=1&format=2" target="_blank">http:/<u></u>/www.monoprice.com/products/<u></u>product.asp?c_id=105&cp_id=<u></u>10516&cs_id=1051610&p_id=<u></u>10341&seq=1&format=2</a><div>

<br>
I think that would work and would eliminate (I believe) the need for bolting it down.<br>

How much equipment are you putting in the rack? We normally use wall-mounted racks (up to 16u) - mounting them towards the ceiling helps keep everything out of the way:<br>
<br>
        15U x 12" deep:<br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.falcontech.com/Wall-Mount-Rack-Middle-Atlantic-15U-19-Inch-x-1-p/wm-15-12.htm" target="_blank">http://www.falcontech.com/<u></u>Wall-Mount-Rack-Middle-<u></u>Atlantic-15U-19-Inch-x-1-p/wm-<u></u>15-12.htm</a><br>

<br>
        15U x 18" deep:<br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.falcontech.com/Wall-Mount-Rack-Middle-Atlantic-8U-19-Inch-x-18-p/wm-8-18.htm" target="_blank">http://www.falcontech.com/<u></u>Wall-Mount-Rack-Middle-<u></u>Atlantic-8U-19-Inch-x-18-p/wm-<u></u>8-18.htm</a><br>

<br>
For cabling, a 12" deep rack will handle most patch panels & switches. Putting it up on the wall is a lot simpler and space effective than a floor-mounted rack.<br>
