FWIW, I was actually on at the time (by plan) trying to get in and
order.. I tried for half an hour before giving up and going to bed. It
appears that all either of their partner sites are now offering is
"register an interest".
I got into RS Components during the first 20 seconds or so after the announcement, and the site hadn't fallen down yet. But, even then, there was no place to order, just the "register an interest" page.

I then concentrated on Premier Farnell. Their site didn't do nearly as well as RS, but I eventually managed to get in and get to the R-Pi page. It looked like you could order from there (or at least pre-order.) I tried and got as far as the shopping cart page before everything fell apart because of traffic. I spent close to half an hour trying to get the site to respond again so I could place my order. When I finally did get through, my cart was empty and I couldn't get any other pages to load, so I gave up.
