Any idea who's presenting?

I've been to the full-blown LISA conference a couple of times and it was a blast. One of the trips highlights for me was talking to Andrew Hume @ AT&T Labs about managing and maintaining petabyte storage systems (if anyone's interested, you can find video some of his presentations on google video). If the road tour is anything like the conference, this could have some really interesting discussions.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Scott

From: "Christopher House" <chouse@gmail.com>
To: "grlug" <grlug@grlug.org>
Sent: Thursday, September 15, 2011 10:26:57 AM
Subject: [GRLUG] LISA Data Storage Day - Latest Trends in Storage Networking - Davenport University - 9/21

Anybody going to LISA Data Storage Day: Latest Trends in Storage Networking at Davenport University?

Wednesday 9/21, 8:30-3:30p
http://davenport-dsd-esli.eventbrite.com/

A few of us from Metro Health will be there, given our large investment in enterprise storage & storage networking.

"This half-day event consists of four lectures addressing the latest trends in storage networking. The four lecture are derived from the program for Storage Day at the 24th Annual Usenix LISA Conference which was help this past November in San Jose, CA. LISA stands for Large Installation System Administration. It is the premier conference for hands-on system administrators. At LISA, the presentations were delivered by industry experts (you know, the people who write the technical books and articles), not by product manufacturers.

The program is offered for FREE to IT end users. There is a nominal fee to attend for those who do not work as an end user of information technology."
