When I download a 600MB version<div>of Kubuntu, there is no place to hide.</div><div>I know the size of the file, and I know</div><div>how long it takes to download. This</div><div>washes out any short term boost.</div><div>
<br></div><div>The power boost is indeed a gimmick,</div><div>but it. does move short files quickly. It</div><div>seems valuable even though it doesn't</div><div>apply after a period of time. For those</div><div>servers that can handle it anyway.</div>
<div><br></div><div>The bigger issue with speed is probably</div><div>server congestion. When I test rates</div><div>using <a href="http://speedtest.net">speedtest.net</a> I get consistent</div><div>results over a wide area - presumably</div>

I might also add that I believe Comcast's powerburst, is really just a cap that gets put on after a few MBs, perhaps even designed to look good in these tests?<br>
