on a related note, whats up with the 250GB/month "cap"? Has anyone
gotten a notice or call from comcast that they are using too much
bandwidth? <br>
<br>
With the speed improvements some of us have seen (I'm normally
getting 16/3 and as high as 20/3 measured through real usage not
speed tests). On your account page they will show you how much
you've used and they are currently showing a 250Gb/mo limit. Its not
really a cap because you can sail right on past it as I've done
before with no apparent ill effects. Full speeds through the end of
the cycle.<br>
<br>
Their FAQ says they contact the top offenders and try to solve the
"problem". I can only wonder what a real bandwidth hog would use.<br>
<br>
Not wanting to get shutdown, I'm looking at the business class
internet that would not have those limits. Is anyone using that? Are
they blocking any ports? <br>
<br>
I also have to wonder if the limit and the warning about being shut
down are a marketing ploy to sell more expensive services.<br>

I've called about these higher speed
<div>services. The last time about a month</div>
<div>ago, I was told that 16 Mbps residential</div>
<div>was the highest speed offered in MI, and</div>
<div>that there is no schedule for rolling out </div>
<div>anything faster. The rep then blandly</div>
<div>said the ads didn't apply here. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I'd call before worrying much more about</div>
<div>it. I do have a friend in Houston who has</div>
<div>
a 50 Mbps Comcast service, and claims </div>
<div>to be quite happy with it.</div>

related, but I noticed that Comcast is now offering
105mb service in Grand Rapids. (Or at least, when I
typed in my address into their website, I was
offered the following --> <a

<div>Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm

Not that it matters, there's no way I can pay that
