I had a laptop repaired by LogicalPCS on Alpine about 6 months ago. I
was looking for a hinge replacement, but they had a compatible refurbed
entire lid available. The machine is working fine. I don't know how
huge a stock of spare laptop parts they have around, but they might
have what you need. They did a fine job with my machine, and I also
have to respect them for honestly admitting that they weren't up for
doing another, more difficult laptop repair job.<br>

Which nicely brings up this question: I have a 2-year old Toshiba
Satellite that is working fine, but I would like the option of adding
another hard drive (likely and SSD) to it. Unfortunately, while the
motherboard and chassis can clearly accommodate another drive, the
connector for it was not soldered onto the motherboard. There are
solder points for it but nothing there. Does anyone know of somebody
who is a good enough hand with a soldering iron that they could add the
connector without screwing up the motherboard?<br>
