<div dir="ltr">Yes, Fedora manages the xorg.conf file - and in addition it is my understanding the Livna version (fedora) is a hacked FOSS version of the driver - because they don't like including any proprietary or non-open source software in their Distro - which is a topic for another day, but I think the one straight from Nvidia performs better, and is more up to date - but the smallest things seem to break it - in addition if you accidentally open the Display Manager in Fedora it attempts to access the (NOW Nvidia Managed) xorg.conf file and screws it up.<br>

The nVidia binary drivers are tied to specific kernel versions. I have<br>
never run Fedora. Does Fedora automatically overwrite xorg.conf? If<br>
so, it may be using the plain nv driver rather than nVidia's blistering<br>
fast driver.<br>
