I have always done it using this syntax:<br>

ALL : 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0<br>

Have you tried googling for hosts.allow?<br>

Ok, I'm coming at it from behind my firewall, so I put in the IP of my
firewall, since that's what it sees. Then it doesn't allow me from
anywhere, including behind my firewall.

There's SOMETHING about my syntax that's messing it up.
