I have the 8Mbps Comcast cable service. I routinely<br>
get 600Kbps to 800 Kbps when uploading, and 6Mbps<br>
to 8Mbps down. If I run two or more ftp jobs to move <br>
files aournd I almost always get the full bit rate up and<br>
down. <br>

I'm somewhat hard put to believe that a 1.5Mbps DSL<br>
connection can match this. I had SBC DSL for a year<br>
or more, and while I did get the 1.5Mbps rate when using<br>
ftp, I saw nothing to suggest that in any magical way<br>
the performance was equivalent to my current 8Mbps <br>
connection.<br>
