I have not run into these issues, but I'm using Linux (Untangle,
specifically) for DHCP, and I don't think I've ever had more than 10
wireless devices connected.

The local Windows group I recommend is the West Michigan Small Business
Technology Group (WMSBTUG). They do like Ubiquiti, so they may have some
