We have numerous of these [MFC-9970CDW] in an office environment; we
have not experienced anything related to 'paper curl' or significant
toner issues [only if people buy discount non-OEM crap, but there is no
better way than that to destroy any printer].  Also don't try to print
on toilet paper.

I've been happy enough with these that I purchased one for myself.

We do see paper curl all the time for users who print on the same page
repeatedly - you have to buy more expensive paper for that to work -
regardless of the printer.  And they are always doing it because they
are the cheapskates who bought the cheapest paper in the first place and
are reprinting on the page to try to save money [let us not factor in
the time consumed in this effort].
