I've never had issues with Nvidia, until Ubuntu 12.04.  I guess there
is a bug in the new Nvidia driver
(http://reformedmusings.wordpress.com/2012/04/28/warning-about-ubuntu-12-04-lts-precise-and-nvidia-cards/)
that affects older chipsets.
