Hey GRLUG,

I'm needing to replace a NOISY Cisco Switch and a wimpy 10/100 hub with
something better.

I'm thinking 16-port Gig E unmanaged switch but am looking for suggestions
from the group.
Rackmount would be a plus but here's the one I am currently looking at: HP
1410-16G Switch (J9560A)

Here's the specs from HP:

HP 1410-16G Switch (J9560A)

Notes
Maximum power rating and maximum heat dissipation are the worst-case
theoretical maximum numbers provided for planning the infrastructure with
fully loaded PoE (if equipped), 100% traffic, all ports plugged in, and all
modules populated.
The exact input voltage and frequency rating are determined by the specific
power adapter part number ordered. Please select the correct power adapter
country option.
