[GRLUG] Slightly OT - Charter Service

I had a service guy tell me years
ago that you, the customer, cannot
boost the data signal with an amplifier.
The company can attenuate the signal,
and this sometimes needs to be done
to keep the signal strength within the
limits of the cable modem. In fact, a
guy came to my place one time and
did just that.

I'd guess that if Charter can't fix you
up, you can't be fixed - so to speak.
