Subject: [GRLUG] Mount a windoz XP drive

Scenario: I have an IDE drive from

a machine running windoz XP that I'd

like to mount on Kubuntu.

The drive might be bad, but assuming

it's not, what would be an appropriate

mount command?

I've tried mount -t ntfs /dev/sdf /X and

mount -t ntfs /dev/sdf /X -o ro - the latter

because one source claim you can only

read from a windoz XP drive.

Neither works. Messages include

"doesn't seem to have a valid NTFS."

Suggestions?
