I've been using MythTV for years now with no issues.  It uses Schedules 
Direct for the programming info, which has been pretty accurate.

My current config is a small form factor PC with an HD Home Run for OTA 
HD recording, and a Hauppauge USB WinTV (analog tuner) and IguanaIR (to 
control the cable tuner box) to record Comcast's digital cable.  It 
would have been nice to use the HD Home Run for Comcast, but they 
encrypt ALL their digital cable channels, so you have to use their box.
