[GRLUG] USB 3, SATA - 6Gbps

I purchased a motherboard with both technologies a week and a half ago  
(Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R) hoping that it may be a bit more future-proof than  
models without. It was DoA and is currently floating around in  
online-retailer merchandise return purgatory while I putter around the web  
on decade old scraps.

The only SATA 3 compliant storage I've seen is top of the line SSDs,  
hopefully affordable platter harddrives will arrive with the compatibility.
