 Charter does the the same thing (I believe they block ever port under 1024)

I would agree that having the filter on by default is good, if there
was a way to opt out of the filtering.

Also I think last time I checked the comcast terms of service said you
could not run a server on the connection. When I asked them what they
considered a server they really didn't give me and answer.
