[GRLUG] Is there a Linux equivalent to network folders

I second sshfs.  On Gnome though, you can "Connect to Server..." from
any window's "File" menu.  One of the connecting choices is SSH.  I
use it all the time (on gui environment).  You can't see it in an
app's "Save As" window, but you can drag-n-drop like in KDE.
