Again...  not really valuable.  Manufacturers quite commonly change
firmwares, board layouts, components, and even upstream ASIC providers
without so much as a version increment on the box.  Best Buy could
easily have 10 wireless NICs from the same manufacturer, in the same
box, each slightly different from all the others.  And neither of us
would know.

Generally, the situation's not that dire...  but generally Linux Just
WorksTM.  Hardware lists aren't about generally.
